Alectra Utilities and General Motors generate energy-saving projects to power over 3,000 homes a year

Today, General Motors released its 2017 Global Sustainability Report, highlighting GM’s worldwide commitments to the environment and community. General Motors Canada demonstrated its sustainability leadership in 2017 by selling over one third of all new electric plug-in vehicles in Canada, and with its landfill free manufacturing and innovative GHG-reducing projects, including the landfill gas cogeneration project at the St. Catharines Propulsion Plant. GM Canada also announced a three-year $1.8 million commitment to help inspire girls and young women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
