2022 was a breakout year for GM Canada, delivering strong business results and a number of industry firsts – in manufacturing and the EV battery supply chain. And in the transition to electrification, being first matters. 

We opened Canada's first full-scale EV plant at CAMI in Ingersoll, ON, established a strong lead in the emerging Canadian EV battery supply chain, and set a record for our best year ever in EV sales. In recognition of these accomplishments, GM was recently acknowledged with the Canadian American Business Council’s Corporate Leadership Award.
