The Vortec 6.2L V8 generates a remarkable 393 hp and 415 lb.-ft. of torque. For 2009, FlexFuel capabilities are added, meaning it can run on regular gasoline or E85 ethanol. The engine is mated with the six-speed automatic transmission with two fuel-saving overdrive gears, plus tap-up/tap-down driver shift controls that give you more precise control when off-roading.

It provides a staggering level of control with a 39.7:1 crawl ratio, as well as 39.8° approach and 37.1° departure angles. And it can support a 4082 kg (9000 lb.) capacity winch.

For 2009, second-row captain's chairs with leather seating surfaces and outboard heated seat cushions are available.
