THE FIFTH-GENERATION CAMARO. TAKES IT TO THE TRACK.

Since it first hit the streets, Camaro has set the trends for the sports car segment. Now Chevrolet is taking the latest generation of Camaro to even loftier heights with the most significant redesign since its debut in 2010, and also with the triumphant reintroduction of the new Z/28: the most track-capable Camaro ever.

EXTERIOR

The 2014 Camaro Z/28 was introduced at the New York International Auto Show in March of 2013, where its track-ready styling was the talk of the show. The redesigned Camaro’s front and rear styling has created a strong visual change, producing a wider, lower and more contemporary appearance. And the Z/28 takes it even further with a full aerodynamics package that creates downforce at speed, which helps make it the most track-capable offering in Camaro’s storied history.

INTERIOR

New performance features flow seamlessly in the interior. RECARO® Performance Seats (also standard on ZL1 and available on SS models) ensure the driver and front passenger stay planted, thanks to more aggressive seat bolsters and microfibre seat inserts. The standard shifter of the 6-speed Tremec manual transmission greets your right hand and is optimized for the specific power characteristics of Z/28’s LS7 V8.

ENGINEERING

At the heart of the 2014 Camaro Z/28 beats the Corvette Z06 sourced 500-hp (estimated) LS7 engine that takes small block V8 technology to previously unimagined heights. The handling is equally advanced, thanks to comprehensive chassis revisions that make the Z/28 capable of 1.05 g in cornering acceleration, increased stopping power via Brembo® carbon-ceramic brakes and a reduced curb weight that makes the Z/28 300 lbs. lighter than the supercharged Camaro ZL1. In initial GM testing, these enhancements combined to produce a lap time for Z/28 three seconds faster than that of the ZL1. No small feat!
