Visually, CTS Coupe is a bold statement of elegance and athleticism. Both shorter overall and lower in profile than its Sedan stablemate, the Coupe's powerful look combines trademark Cadillac design elements, like vertical tail lights and a pronounced centreline crease, with contemporary touches including a raked-back windshield and a near-horizontal rear window. The drama continues in the cabin, with harmonious shapes, quality craftsmanship and a host of up-to-the-second amenities, including dual-zone automatic climate control and keyless ignition starter.
For 2012, there's a new engine under CTS Coupe's sculpted hood. Outputs increase to 318 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque, yet thanks to Cadillac's intelligent engineering there's no corresponding increase in fuel consumption. A responsive 6-speed automatic transmission with tap-up/tap-down shifting helps make the most of the engine's power, while the track-tuned 4-wheel independent suspension and premium steering system deliver handling that's sports-car responsive. The brakes are world-class, too, thanks to large, vented discs at every wheel and advanced technologies like Panic Brake Assist and Dynamic Rear Brake Proportioning.
