GMCL is pleased to announce the 2011 Model Year Rental Purchase Program.
Program Description:
The 2011 Rental Purchase Program (R9H) is intended for the sale of eligible GM vehicles to qualified independent rental companies that have executed a Rental Purchase Agreement with an authorized GMCL Rental Manager.
In order for the approved Rental Customer to receive any of the benefits of the 2011 Model Year Rental Purchase Program, a Purchase Agreement (Schedule 'Y') must be executed, approved and signed with an authorized GMCL Rental Manager.
Vehicles that do not meet all program requirements are ineligible.
Program Time Period:
Effective for 2011 Model Year units delivered between July 1, 2010 and July 31, 2011. Rental Purchase Allowance will be paid by GMCL on eligible 2011 model year vehicles as listed on the Schedule 'Y' executed by GMCL and the authorized Rental Customer.
Method of Application / Incentive Code:
Qualified and registered Rental customers may be eligible for the greater of the negotiated Rental Purchase Program 'R9H' allowance or the Fleet Program Allowance (A4F/CKF) in existence at the time of delivery.
The Rental Customer is responsible to make the incentive choice prior to taking delivery of vehicles. Absolutely NO charge backs or changes of incentive will be allowed after delivery has occurred.
Rental Purchase Allowance 'R9H' incentives are paid directly by GMCL to the Rental Customer. Only an authorized GMCL Rental Manager can negotiate rental model mix, volumes and incentives with the Rental Customer and the Rental Customer will submit a claim directly to GMCL for payment of eligible incentives.
In-Service Requirements:
All eligible vehicles delivered under the terms of the program are required to be licensed, registered (titled), insured and retained for rental use in Canada for no less than six (6) months and must accumulate no less than 12,000 kilometres in service by the first eligible Rental Customer who takes delivery of the vehicle.

Rental Definition (Eligible Account):
The rental of a vehicle by a rental customer on an hourly, daily or weekly basis, or for a period up to and not to exceed thirty (30) days to generate revenue for the registered owner. A rental agreement must be implemented between the Renter and the Rental Company to rent a motor vehicle. The Renter must be identified on the rental agreement. The Renter is renting the vehicle from the Rental Company and the Renter must sign the rental agreement. By signing the rental agreement, the Renter is entering into a contract (not to exceed 30 days) with the Rental Company for the use of the Rental Company's vehicle.
Usage of a vehicle by a customer that exceeds a thirty (30) day rental agreement shall be considered leasing, unless that vehicle is covered by a new rental agreement at the end of the initial thirty (30) day rental agreement.
In order for a vehicle to be eligible for a GM Canada rental program, a new rental agreement must be written between the Renter and the Rental Company every thirty (30) days, in the event such rental carries on after any 30 day period.
Proper rental invoice documentation must be retained by the Rental Company for audit purposes to ensure vehicles are being used for rental purposes. GM Canada reserves the right to review from time to time documentation including but not limited to, Articles of Incorporation, and details of some or all, in GM Canada's sole discretion, of the rental invoices and related documentation.
Eligible Rental Companies should contact their GM Canada Rental Manager for program details. Only a GM Canada Rental Manager is allowed to negotiate a Rental Purchase Program deal with an eligible rental company. A GM Canada Dealer or an employee of the GM Dealership cannot negotiate a Rental Program agreement on behalf of GM Canada.
