Chat NowEver wonder who records your credit history? There are two main credit reporting agencies in Canada: TransUnion Canada and Equifax Canada. These organizations maintain specific information about you and your credit activities. They then provide this information - known as your personal credit report - to credit grantors, such as banks, finance companies and retailers, for their use in making credit decisions.
Here's a glimpse of what you would likely find on your credit report:
| Included in your credit report | Excluded from your credit report |

To ensure your credit report is correct, you should likely review it at least once a year. Check your credit report 90 days before a major purchase to correct any errors.
Take a look at a Sample Credit Report (PDF File). To obtain a copy of your personal credit report or for assistance on how to read one, visit Equifax Canada.
