Purchase Information
What's the discount?

Eligible employees pay GM Employee Price* on their purchase. To ensure all applicable discounts are passed on to eligible Preferred Pricing employees, the dealership and the employee must both acknowledge the calculation on a special Preferred Pricing worksheet that details all costs associated with the purchase.
How many vehicles am I able to purchase?

You may purchase or lease up to two new vehicles per calendar year.
Can I combine this discount with other current offers?

Certain incentives can be combined with Preferred Pricing. Eligible incentives include national and regional offers and your GM Card Earnings (subject to Vehicle Redemption Allowances). If you're a GM Cardholder, you can also combine Preferred Pricing with the Canadian Forces Appreciation Discount, Mobility Program and Student Bonus. Visit your Dealer for details on current offers, or find current offers on gm.ca.
Are there any incentive programs I can't take advantage of along with Preferred Pricing?

Yes. You can't participate in the following incentive programs:

  • Business Choice
  • Competitive Assistance
  • Dealership Employee Purchase Program
  • Employee Special Retirement Incentive Programs (all) / Transition Voucher
  • GM Employee New Vehicle Purchase Programs
  • Executive Referral Program
  • Rental Purchase Program
  • Rental Repurchase Program

Can I combine this discount with any GM Card Earnings?

Yes you can, subject to Vehicle Redemption Allowances.
Participant & Vehicle Eligibility
Who is eligible for Preferred Pricing?

Canadian employees (all active hourly and salaried staff and their spouse, not including contract or retired employees) of eligible Preferred Pricing companies.
Which vehicles are eligible?

Almost every Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac car, SUV, crossover, van and truck is eligible. However, some models/trims may not be eligible and other models may have limited availability.

Please contact the Customer Care Centre (1-800-263-3777) or your Dealer for the list of models/trims that are excluded from Preferred Pricing.
Are my family members eligible for Preferred Pricing?

The selected vehicle must be titled and registered in the approved employee's or their spouse's name for personal use only.
How long do I have to keep the vehicle to be eligible for Preferred Pricing?

You must keep your vehicle for at least six months and 12,000 km.
I recently bought a new GM vehicle. Can I still apply for Preferred Pricing?

No. Previous purchases are not eligible.
Dealer Information
Can I receive this discount from any Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac Dealer?

This program is available only at participating Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac Dealers. So when you contact your local Dealer, let them know you'd like to take advantage of Preferred Pricing.
Can I order a vehicle, rather than choosing one from my GM Dealer's inventory?

Yes, you can receive the discount when you order through a participating Dealer.
What do I have to show my Dealer to get my discount?

To partake in Preferred Pricing, present proof of employment at an eligible company (letter from HR or a recent pay stub) to a participating Dealer.
Additional Options & Financing
Are dealer-installed options covered by this discount?

No. Any additional dealer-installed options, conversion/upfit packages, General Motors Protection Plans and other extra-charge items will be supplied at a price agreed upon by you and your Dealer.



Can I use a trade-in with this program?

Please speak to your Dealer for more information about trade-ins.



What are my purchasing options?
