2010 GMC Canadian Championships
March 20th - 27th, 2010
Nakiska, Alberta
The culmination of the 2010 GMC Cup ski series, GMC Canadian Championships will feature Canada's best up-and-coming ski racers as they compete head-to-head against the Canadian Alpine Ski Team in speed and technical events. Athletes will compete in all five disciplines (Downhill, Super G, Super Combined, Giant Slalom and Slalom) where one male and one female will be crowned GMC Cup Champion and awarded $5,000. Watch all of the action unfold on-hill as Canada's next generation of alpine stars test their limits against Canadian Olympians Manuel Osborne-Paradis, Erik Guay, Emily Brydon and Britt Janyk.
GMC will be cheering on Canada's top alpine ski racers and congratulating our Olympians on their performance at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Stop by the GMC tent to pick up a Canadian Olympic Team collectable poster, test your ski knowledge in 'Chart Your Terrain' trivia and win great daily prizes like GMC lipbalm, sunscreen, Alpina goggles or a brand new XM Radio! GMC will also have the new 2010 GMC Terrain compact crossover on-display as well as GMC Sierra, Acadia and Yukon.

On March 27th, the best Freestyle, Ski Cross and Alpine athletes will converge on Canada Olympic Park to stage the best snowsports showcase of the season. Watch as our most promising athletes compete head-to-head against Canada's Olympians in Moguls, Ski Cross, Aerials, Half-Pipe and the GMC Alpine Dual. See Olympic Gold Medallists Alex Bilodeau and Asheleigh McIvor and Olympic Silver Medallist Jen Heil compete for their National title. In addition to taking in all of these events, expect to be part of the best end-of-season ski celebration in Canada Olympic Park village. GMC will be bringing the best live activities from GMC Canadian Championships and amping it up to put on the GMC Stage.
