Making Dreams Possible

Chevrolet recognizes that medal performances on race day require first-rate coaching - the goal of Making Dreams Possible is to support Canadian coaches and athletes (including our alpine skiers) at all levels through coaching excellence through High Performance and Local Sport Club coaching grants.

As a joint Chevrolet / Coaching Association of Canada program, Making Dreams Possible provides high performance and local amateur coaches with financial assistance to improve and enhance the sporting experience and performance of our athletes.

As part of this program, Chevrolet will provide ten annual high performance grants of $10,000 each year through to the end of 2010, to support the coaching needs of our Canadian high performance athletes in order to help them achieve their goals of reaching the Olympic podium.

Chevrolet is also committed to developing coaching excellence at the grassroots level. Each year, through to the end of 2010, GM will award 100 grants of $2,000 each to community sport organizations to help fund coach training and development, to enhance the sport experience for young athletes.

We congratulate the following alpine ski clubs who received Making Dreams Possible club coaching grants in 2010:
  • Cypress Ski Club - North Vancouver, BC
  • Rabbit Hill Ski Club - Edmonton, AB

In partnership with the Coaching Association of Canada, 'Making Dreams Possible' has impacted over 27,000 coaches and nearly 250,000 athletes in 183 communities across the country to-date.
