The Rules

The GMC Cup Series is a national series for International Ski Federation (FIS) carded athletes. Ski racers compete in the technical alpine disciplines of Slalom and Giant Slalom. The race series consists of a total of 32 starts and includes races for men and women in both Eastern and Western Canada. Athletes accumulate points based on their finish position. The male and female athletes who accumulate the greatest points total in the GMC Cup Series and the GMC Canadian Championship races are crowned overall GMC Cup Champions for the year. The GMC Cup race series is open to competitors from all provinces, and the quotas for the series are established by the participating provinces.
